IoT Smart Home Security Prototype

I built a smart home security system prototype that included a door alarm, distance sensor, automated light sensor, water level sensor, and a temperature and humidity sensor.

Linux Operating System

I acquired expertise in navigating and utilizing the Linux operating system. Furthermore, I honed my problem-solving skills within this environment along with a strong understanding of networking and system security.

Python Programming

I developed proficiency in coding and employed Python to write scripts and generate data facilitating the creation of reports and graphs for data comparison.

Digital Devices

I successfully designed a traffic control prototype and implemented the required code to ensure its optimal performance. This experience enhanced my understanding of the integration between devices and the internet.

Networking

I acquired expertise in networking and subnet creation, along with the ability to determine the appropriate subnet mask. Furthermore, I developed skills in establishing a more secure network.

Cloud Computing

I developed expertise in establishing a network and configuring virtual machines on a cloud platform.

Information Systems Security

I gained expertise in identifying malware, social engineering attacks, and cryptographic algorithms. I evaluate network devices, elucidate wireless security solutions, and analyze application and device security. Additionally, I assess authentication techniques and examine risk management strategies to establish a secure network.

Wired, Optical and Wireless Communications

I gained the ability to explain the key components and functions of a communication system, as well as understand the methods and techniques of transmission, conversion, and reception of analog data. I am able to examine the principles, behaviors, and applications of transmission lines and optical communication and differentiate the antenna types and wave propagation in various wireless applications. I also explored testing equipment and measurement procedures used for troubleshooting and EMI reduction.

Infrastructure Security

I can now offer a strategic approach to cybersecurity, leveraging expertise in threat intelligence, vulnerability management, cloud and infrastructure security, and IAM to build resilient defenses. I gained skills in integrating security into the software development lifecycle, establishing robust incident response programs, conducting forensic analysis, and ensuring adherence to risk management and compliance standards.

Everyday Physics

Having built a solid physics foundation, I can apply trigonometric principles to linear motion, explain forces using Newton's Laws, understand energy and momentum conservation, analyze circular motion, and apply fundamental concepts of electricity and magnetism. I can also evaluate various types of waves, including light and sound. My experience with IoT sensors demonstrates my ability to apply physics practically. These skills enable me to solve problems analytically and contribute to projects requiring a strong grasp of physical principles.

Automation and Control Systems

I gained a good understanding of control systems and automation, gaining expertise in the essential components of control systems and interfacing devices, while being able to identify various sensor types and their operations. I gained knowledge in practical applications such as DC motor control with feedback, and a comprehensive grasp of ladder logic and programmable controllers, including their operations and diverse applications. I am now proficient in applying advanced PLC instructions and gained skills in designing complete DC motor control systems integrated with PLC applications.
